Non-Profit Website

Concept/art direction/execution

Brief: create a website design for a non-profit organisation.

I chose to design for the 'Woman Made Gallery' in Chicago, as their existing site has a large amount of copy that is difficult to read and also lacks consistency from page to page.

Concept: the site is designed to be a gallery for the content. I took the existing logo and repeated its diagonal lines throughout the site within the navigation and text layout to create an edgy, contemporary look that still conveys the idea of a fine art gallery.

I chose a neutral colour palette with yellow accents for contrast to display the information clearly and cleanly, using images of an empty gallery as the background to bring emphasis to the text.
